Time Delayed Birth Defects?

I've been
thinking ...
There have to be a lot of things
that are birth defects, but not
visible nor anyone aware of them
... at birth.
Then, 40-50 years later,
brain
tumors, from a
parent's strong exposure to a
teratogen chemical such as
2-butoxyethanol. Since it
affects every gland and organ
and the blood and lymph system,
neurological system, too ...
then things in that area could
be affected in a second
generation, and at any time
period.
I suspect this chemical for the
blood tumors:
hemangiomas. Some show up
later, much later as well as the
larger ones with a different
name: vascular abnormalities.
Here is an example, to my way of
thinking:
Adrenoleukodystrophy or ALD
When I first heard what ALD
stood for, I thought, "hmm
that's the kind of thing that
2-butoxyethanol would do." Then
I purchased and watched intently
the documentary, Lorenzo's oil.
I spoke with one of the
researchers from Italy, who
adamantly declared, "You do not
get ALD unless the mom has some
X chromosome thing"
(Sorry, I don't recall exactly
what, but I'm not a medical
person.)
Not long after I looked up a
synonym for hemolysis which
2-butoxyethanol does:
hemoglobinuria. There it
was,
2-butoxyethanol damages the X
chromosome
Now in the story about Lorenzo,
he was a perfectly healthy,
happy boy until about 5+ years
old. The family moved to Wash DC
from Africa & that is when the
ALD started evidencing itself. I
have wondered whether there was
some direct exposure to
2-butoxyethanol that 'set it
off'
And I am wondering whether
learning disabilities such as
ADD, and metabolic problems such
as Syndrome X and adult onset
diabetes could be showing up now
from exposures people received
in the 1940s
These
would be the parents,
grandparents, and great
grandparents of many who are
alive today. And their children
can have exposures either
directly or indirectly, further
compounding the issue.
