Last night we had an interesting/ scary thing happened

My husband Dan has had difficulty with word finding sporadically during this time with his brain tumor but last night something happened for the first time. Please tell me if any of you have ever heard of something like this or if you have experienced this. I am baffled and I am wondering what could be going on.

For a few hours Dan couldn't form any thoughts whatsoever. None. He would throw out random words but he couldn't
even form a sentence.  It was horrible and scary -- definitely something new. This literally went on for hours. My daughter and I were wondering what we should do because it was so out of he ordinary for him. We ended up just acting like everything was normal with him and just continued on as we normally would with dinner, etc. He couldn't remember things either - more than normal.

Then out of the blue later he looked at us and plainly said, "sorry about earlier." "I couldn't think."

And then the rest of the night he was himself! (Well at least the way he usually is anymore) He still had the occasional word finding problem that he normally has but it was absolutely nothing like it had been for those few hours!

Do you have any idea what that was about??? For those few hours he was 100% different than usual.

Does this sound familiar to any of you? Any insight would be helpful.

The last MRI Dan had "seemed" to show new growth and the doctor was even pointing it out to us on the MRI and then even speaking of options that could be considered.

So since he did that I know that there was definitely something there that was in question.

But when it went to the tumor board it was decided that there really wasn't anything to be concerned about - to just get a follow up MRI in a few months as usual (Dan usually gets one every 6 months)

I would have to assume (maybe?) that a glitch like Dan had last night would have something to do with possible tumor growth? But then if it was caused by tumor growth how would he be able to pull back out of it like he did after a few hours?

I am confused, I guess.

He could have been more exposed to BUTYL or 2-butoxyethanol

It causes CFIDS, CFS, FM  symptoms

of which short term memory loss, difficulty in thinking and headaches and anemia (FATIGUE) are part of what it does

Was anything different just before this started up?

Cleaning Carpets?
Using a new cleaner?

Painting rooms?

Should be some helps here for you to consider another possibility
Don't have any great answers here, but this is how my symptoms are and have been. haven't had that extreme of an event. but sometimes i can speak, find words fine, then the next moment, I can't, or get thoughts to form right, or express anything ok. it can last a short time, it can last a few days. its definitely related to tumor location in my case (LEFT SIDE MOTOR/LANGUAGE) , but i frequently think it's an edema flare up not necessarily growth. definitely want to report it. a seizure can do the same, in a real drastic sudden way after....but I am real aware when a seizure has occurred, so it isn't usually seizure induced.

sometimes i can read and type well, sometimes none of it makes sense. sometimes I can't figure out the answers to simple questions, or vocalize an answer, and a day or two later I'm spouting off innumerable facts and thoughts and more.

again, don't have any answers, but at least know it isn't a singular event that no one else has had.

love
