Alaska State Troopers Department of Public Safety Training Academy

Sitka, Alaska

Some of the things they do to recruits ... civilians would be put in jail for

IS there any oversight to those in charge of Sitka 'boot camp?'

They should have a 100% pass rate
with the caliber of people that go to Academy,

What is it in recent years?

And those who have already been in boot camp
& served honorably in the military
should get a waiver on some of boot camp

That's what I think

Every 10 days I think Recruits should be anonymously critiquing their drill sergeants

It is true that slugging someone in the eye unsuspectedly would put you in jail as a civilian

A passenger on an airplane hit a stewardess because he didn't get a glass of water soon enough 4-17 (Ted Stevens airport ...?) and he IS in jail ... off the plane right now

What I am sorry about is that I signed my name

I didn't think I would get a response ... but I did:

The letter the Governor's rep sent me
invited me to call the Head of Police Academy Training (Sitka)

On about May 8, 2007, I got to apologize to my son-in-law:

He called his house a couple of days ago on the noon hour when I was baby sitting (He loves his children more than life ... & knows I take good care of them)

I said, Spook, I am SO SORRY for all the trouble I've caused you
(Didn't mean it to single you out ... but in general)

He said, It's OK

I said, well you have broad shoulders

I thought about that.  I know some things that would benefit law enforcement

Like not every product said to be safe ... is  (pepper spray)
It has some ethylene in it, and may be health hazardous also,
whether claimed to be or not

(Simple Green used in all US Penitentiaries) - Not safe as is touted by chemical companies.  Alyeska has recently issued air tight goggles to be worn as part of protective gear.  They also warn fishermen & oil spill cleanup personnel to use protective gear including nitrate chemical gloves when using Simple Green

Law enforcement, military, hunters should use protective eye protection when they are cleaning their guns ... and air out any rooms that others could come and go in

Why there is a false positive for breathalyzer tests ... people not drinking can test positive)

Why police are health damaged from Meth lab raids
By en large aren't people using every day cleaning products to make this?

How to recognize and find 2-butoxyethanol exposure

My husband has an invitation to go to the Trooper/Police Academy Graduation for our son-in-law.  Thought there was no room in town, but it worked out.

I have a room - but there is a two night minimum.   The rate for
the trooper graduation is $90.00 per night.  Generally we are
$110.00  The room is queen - share bath with other room but not
connected to  either.   We are strictly for non smokers and do not
allow alcohol on the premises.   Im sure this is not a problem with
you since you would be coming for the trooper grad..

I'll be babysitting the little ones & keeping both home fires burning
