The question I was trying to ask Paul Steiger this AM on C-Span's Washington Journal:

IF we find out what happened to the EVOS workers we will have a paradigm shift in our thinking about what the flu is ... that diabetes is often a side effect ...

We need to know what happened to the Exxon Valdez Oil spill cleanup workers

My name is Captain Richard D. Nagel and I worked the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Cleanup. My job was to supply Chemicals to the beach workers who carried the chemical Inipol in back packs to spray the beaches that were affected by the spill. I also Supervised beach clean up and the transfer of Inipol to the workers , so I was licensed to Operate Vessel's and Supervise cleanup.

Now my problem is since the Exxon Valdez was considered a National Dater and had civvies as well as Navy, and the Coast Guard involved why after all these years are still considering it an Exxon Problem when the U.S. Government declared it a National Disaster.

Now I have been fighting against Exxon for years, when in respect it actually was your fault or since it was a National Disaster the people exposed to these Chemicals haven't a foot to stand on.  Personally I have sever Blood problems and everyone else that worked the spill with these Chemicals are dead from cancer or they are dieing because  of Chemical Exposure

Where the fault lies is with You, OSHA and the EPA for not testing these chemicals first, which they didn't have the time. Now Exxon bought the Chemical Inipol from a French Corporation that had a MSDS report that Inipol causes Cancer in laboratory Mice .After Exxon bought the chemical they put out their own MSDS report that stated this Chemical Inipol was not only safe but you could almost eat this stuff and nothing would happen . Today we know different at the costs of Human lives

So my question is who authorized the use of Chemicals on the spill , plus hosanna pay for these people's medical problems , and do not tell me to get an Attorney because statutory time limits have expired .You could make this a lot better by classifying these Chemicals right up there with Asbestos ,and Black Lung, you see in some cases it takes years to show it's ugly face , So why don't you do something right and not only help me but hundreds of others as well , O by the way I was on the RCAC but little good it did when Exxon paid everyone off, Point is VECO and Norco, And VRCA all are in court now for pay offs.

In conclusion since you decided it was a National Dieter then you are to blame and by golly I do not just go away

I Remain ,

THE Inipol Guys

 publications@law.duke.edu

My name is Captain Richard D. Nagel and I supplied the chemicals to the beach crews for spraying toxic Chemicals on the Crude oil on the Beaches, but that is not the reason I am witting . How can there be a Statutory time limit on a chemical that had never been tested by the EPA or even OSHA?   now the Chemical is called Inipol and was bought by Exxon in 1989 and not really used until 1990 whereas Exxon had changed the MSDS report that Inipol was safe.

Today look at the MSDS report states the same as the Frnch Corporation, that inipol causes Cancer.  Exxon neglected to mention the harmful effects of Insipidly to all of us, and the EPA along With OSHA took the bribe and now with several Congressmen are being investigated for wrong doing during the Spill.

What I want is for the Chemicals to be given the same latitudes as Asbestos workers and black lung Diseases.  These chemicals can strike some people really fast and others years and it's not their fault, it is the U.S. Government for allowing this to happen in the first place, so that is why I am  filing a suit  and the U.S. Government should compensate me through this mess in the first place.

I won't hold my breath but I do believe you are the ones that should compensate all of us and the family of the Exposed Workers that have past away because of Chemical Exposure. I will be expecting my check soon since I have been 100% disabled because of your and Exxon's Lies.
