The most probable exposure for vets of all war eras (& for civilians, too) is a chemical that would be classified as an organic solvent, BUTYL or the one I know best, 2-butoxyethanol.

It would be excessive exposure that would cause the most serious end results such as Good Pasture's Syndrome, ALS, etc Look for multiple  AUTOIMMUNE ISSUES

often you see it show up after episodes of 'flu' which is what 2-butoxyethanol causes

With the CFIDS, CFS, FM groups so many things start going wrong, that the fatigue (AIHA or IMHA) which is proof that 2-butoxyethanol is the main chemical of harm, evades our medical science ... and has done so for this past century.

Researchers and your family doctor, can only deal with one variable at a time ... and this is not what goes on with CFIDS, CFS, FM, 'gulf war illness,' The Vietnam Vets' Syndrome, etc, etc.
