I have a totally different view of diabetes (& the chemical exposure I suspect causes it must be too much for our folks - me too!)

I suspect that my dad was poisoned by it in WWII on a Navy war ship.  I think the personality change & young death from 'advance fatigue' not usually found  - would be clues to why I came down with abnormal blood sugar in my 50s.  (2-butoxyethanol has been in widespread use since the 1930s and I suspect a stronger version prior to that)  I'm a baby boomer.  I consider this chemical exposure to cause 'late-to-show-up birth defects.'

I think it is nothing more than a side effect of a teratogen chemical ... which eventually could aim at kidneys, liver, many autoimmune issues and tumors of every sort.  That's why I just threw this out for your consideration

Nor do I follow the recommended treatment for diabetes, as I am not going to mess with my liver.  The chemical that cause diabetes can do lots worse things.... and I don't want to give it a head start.  I just call it the chemical that causes civilian 'gulf war syndrome' or Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome: CFIDS
