Dear Dr. Frederick Ey,

I saw the TV program on Rachel Crawford last night (Mystery Diagnosis).  The flu symptoms with headache, 'look-like' exposure to a chemical in cleaning products, paint, etc
CH3(CH2)2CH2OCH2CH2OH   *

This chemical should be suspect for being a primary cause of harm in every war era.  It is a teratogen chemical, and should be suspect for the diabetes epidemic among baby boomers of WWII Vets.

It causes autoimmune issues and many tpes of cancers especially blood and blood forming organs ....

Fatigue of CFIDS must be AIHA or IMHA

Sincerely,
Margaret Diann

Describes the LDH or LD test in detail: How LDH or LD is used, When LDH or LD is ordered, What the results of an LDH or LD test mean

http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/ldh/test.html

Elevated levels of LDH and changes in the ratio of the LDH isoenzymes usually indicate some type of tissue damage. Usually LDH levels will rise as the cellular destruction begins, peak after some time period, and then begin to fall. For instance, when someone has a heart attack, blood levels of total LDH will rise within 24 to 48 hours, peak in 2 to 3 days, and return to normal in 10 to 14 days. LDH levels are elevated in a wide variety of conditions reflecting its widespread tissue distribution.

Elevated levels of LDH may be seen with:

  • Cerebrovascular accident (CVA, stroke)
  • Drugs: anesthetics, aspirin, narcotics, procainamides, alcohol
  • Hemolytic anemias
  • Pernicious anemias (megaloblastic anemais)
  • Infectious mononucleosis (Mono)
  • Intestinal and pulmonary infarction
  • Kidney disease
  • Liver disease
  • Muscular dystrophy
  • Pancreatitis
  • Lymphoma or other cancers
  • Not just a virus or cold?  *
