My research and experience has brought me to the conclusion that Type 2 diabetes is not a disease, it is a symptom of damage to the liver, pancreas, and the thyroid. The food and beverage industry,  in partnership with the corn refiners, are the "bad guys ," in the Diabetes epidemic!  High Fructose Corn Syrup  is favored by these industries because it is, cheaper than cane sugar, six times sweeter than cane sugar, mixes well with any food concoction  and it works as a preservative. The problem for us is that it causes liver damage and thus, the diabetes symptom.
 

      This poison is used in over three thousand different food products in our stores and restaurants. It has been proven to be one of the main causes of diabetes in children. This poison is used in Coca Cola, Pepsi, ice creams, breads, catsups, fruit juices, frozen foods, crackers, candies, canned goods; the list is long and bone chilling.  When you buy a  sandwich for your children in a restaurant , did you know that some of the breads may have  HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP in them?  Not to mention the  French fries, and the soda fountain products?  Yummy, huh?

 
        The  current  victim count is roughly 44,000 Alaskans (men, women and children) and over nineteen million Americans nationwide suffer from this malady,  I'm told that roughly sixty percent of our senior citizens are either currently pre-diabetic or already have diabetes.  Is making money a good excuse for the misery that is laid at our feet?
 
       The current national statistics claim that at this time :
 One out of every three Caucasian children under the age of eight will develop  diabetes.
 If you think that is a terrible prediction try this:
 
  • One out of every two children of ethnicity in the same age group run the same risk.   Black, Hispanic, Asian, Alaskan  Native, and  American Indian. 
 
       HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP damages your liver, it causes diabetes!  It also is one of the main reasons  we Americans  are overweight.  Why would you eat it? Why would you let your children consume it?  Why does our local friendly local grocery stores sell foods saturated with it? One high level Safeway executive stated to me that it was a matter of personal responsibility  whether or not we eat this stuff! Why, the store just sells  it, it doesn't make it! That makes it okay, right?  I personally believe he is not right, do you? 
 
     Several million  Americans die each year directly or indirectly from this misdiagnosed and mistreated malady. I know this , for I was diagnosed in 2003 with type 2 Diabetes. Along with the diabetes I also developed the dreaded gout.  This was not a combination of aliments that I wanted to take home, however, I had no choice.  From the years 2003 thru 2007 my wife and I worked on these maladies. She with her Internet research and good common sense; myself with herbs, teas, a vast array of supplements and my wife's fine healthy cooking.  In  April of 2007 I suddenly ceased having high blood sugar problem and ceased using all of the  drugs for both gout and diabetes.  In December of 2007 I was successfully tested "NON-DIABETIC"!  You can defeat this malady if you have it, I have proven this.
 
    The short end of a long story is this;  join me in this fight to save ourselves, read labels on everything you buy in grocery stores. Question  the restaurant about what is in the food you just ordered you have that right. Tell our good friends that run Safeway,  that you would like a better choice of non-poisoned foods to buy from them.  Contact your legislators and ask them to  make this stuff illegal  to sell in this state.  Tell our city council members that we need this stuff out of our schools.
 
    If you have diabetes or are pre-diabetic there are things you can take either to stop or  to reverse the damage that diabetes brings. However I will tell you this, you will not get them from the drug makers or the American Diabetes Association, I tried.   Hotai
