Complete Blood Counts

-More blood info

The CBC measures the number of red blood cells (RBCs), white blood cells (WBCs), the total amount of hemoglobin in the blood, and the fraction of the blood composed of cells (hematocrit).
RBC

compare to your own counts over time

 * When Red blood cells are immature - other tests can be 'off'

Red Blood Cells - Normal counts vary with altitude male: 4.7 to 6.1 million cells/mcl

female: 4.2 to 5.4 million cells/mcl

Ask for Direct measurement of the red cell life span by isotopic tagging techniques shows a decreased life span  also level of haptoglobin, which should show up soon after 2-butoxyethanol  exposure if blood cells are being destroyed
HGB Hemoglobin  is the most important component of red blood cells. It is composed of a protein called heme, which binds oxygen.  13.3-17.7
HCT Hematocrit 40.0-50.0
RDW * rdw Random Distribution of RBC Weight. 13
Iron a function of adult red blood cells/liver/spleen  in conjunction with __ ?
WBC - *  Very High? White Blood Cells 4.5-11.0 High counts can indicate AIHA
PTL    Autoimmune? Platelets 140-440
absolute cell count Is lymphocyte count above normal?
