Someday I hope there will be a breathalyzer test for glycol ether
OR will the current breathalyzer test for ethanol (simple alcohol)
give a positive result for more complex GLYCOL ETHERs?

C2H6O / Ethanol (CH3CH2OH), the active ingredient in alcoholic drinks

... dizziness? FATIGUE? Traveling on a long plane ride can place you near someone who is overexposed to glycol ether, which can be expelled in their breath and get into one's eyes: exposure 'second hand' This is a very serious anemia which I also suspect for Justice Ruth Ginsburg, Senator Robert Byrd (& who knows, maybe Senator Kennedy died of the anemia more than the brain tumor?) http://www.valdezlink.com/re/theanemia3.htm  Someone collapses?   Ask doctors whether or not there is blood in urine; and check with law enforcement as to whether the complex alcohol shows up in an ethanol breathalyzer test. (Someday there will be a breathalyzer for 2-butoxyethanol or glycol ether in general.)

Exposure 'looks like' the flu. http://www.valdezlink.com/re/flu/swine/glycolether.htm

. . . any noticeable personality change? ... anger outbursts at the drop of a hat? (Autoimmune central nervous system issue)
Tired all the time?

Central Nervous System Effects:

Short Term Memory Loss - Memory Loss

Personality change - Constantly Irritable - Anger Outbursts
Depression
Suicidal Tendencies
All-the-time-DEPRESSION
Mimics True Psychiatric Disorder - * Paranoia

It would be a big asset to airlines to know whether or not someone is poisoned by glycol ether
BEFORE the get on a commercial flight and sit next to someone for HOURS.
poisoning them 'second hand'

I think the reason police/ troopers are health damaged during met raids
is because so many household cleaning products are used in their making
which contain strong glycol ether components

Be Careful what you clean with *

I started looking into the harm of the most commonly used glycol ether (2-butoxyethanol / Ethylene Glycol monoButyl Ether)

when my 18 year old son was harmed by it on the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill cleanup. He didn't tell us about his health issues until 2001 and by 2003 I noticed the symptoms these workers had - LOOKed LIKE those of the 'gulf war syndrome vets'

& civilians who have Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS, CFS, FM)
