Margaret Diann Hursh There are two major misconceptions in medical science. One is that flu symptoms are caused by a virus. No, flu symptoms are caused from exposure to glycol ether. Look for blood in urine. Another is that very high white blood cell counts is a sign of an infection. It can also be a sign of the advanced anemia of CFIDS... not found by doctors: AIHA or IMHA. http://www.valdezlink.com/re/health/comment.htm

PLEVA, Mucha-Habberman's disease

Pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta

  From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta (also known as "Acute guttate parapsoriasis," "Acute parapsoriasis," "Acute pityriasis lichenoides," "Mucha-Habermann disease," "Parapsoriasis acuta," "Parapsoriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta," and "Parapsoriasis varioliformis") is a disease of the immune system. It is the more severe version of Pityriasis lichenoides chronica. The disease is characterized by rashes and small lesions on the skin. The disease is most common in males and usually occurs in childhood, although it has been seen in every age group and every race. It is possible for the disease to go into remission for short periods of time or forever.

The easiest way to understand this disease is to think of it like this: Everyone has T cells that fight disease; in a person with PLEVA, the T cells get mixed up and decide to form in the skin, causing the lesions. It is unknown why this happens.  The trigger which causes the dysfunctional immune system response, PLEVA, is unknown.  It is not contagious and currently there is no cure for the disease, although the lesions can be treated with ultraviolet therapy as well as topical steroids and antibiotics.

There is another cause of flu symptoms, and I have suggested to the CDC that they list exposure to glycol ether as one (Probably the most widespread cause of 'flu symptoms') http://www.valdezlink.com/re/flu/swine/glycolether.htm

Glycol ether causes one's body to turn autoimmune and that is the issue that needs to be addressed: not just immune suppression or pain medications. I think there is hope for help by checking out the science of glycobiology. I have heard gamma globulin helps in some situations.

The most commonly used glycol ether (half of the time) is 2-butoxyethanol. It is often in carpet cleaning solutions. Do you remember what was different back in February IMMEDIATELY proceeding the flu symptoms? You should be able to find the source of the glycol ether exposure.

I think school janitors use too many harsh chemicals that contain glycol ether, and that it can cause flu symptoms to spread like wildfire. On the other hand, many home cleaning products contain the same, but often undisclosed. These chemicals are in paint and other products used by carpenters and even used by mechanics.

The anemia it causes is the anemia of CFIDS, CFS, FM. I think Senator Robert Byrd and Justice Ruth Ginsburg have this anemia (AHIA or IMHA) http://www.valdezlink.com/re/theanemia3.htm Often doctors notice very high white blood cell counts; however, for this group it is most probably another anemia sign, not an infection per se.

Don't know what issues you had to be taking Doxycycline: Chemical Formula C22 H26 N2 O9 but it appears to me this contains glycol ether. I've looked up the chemical formula of some commonly used medications, and they are worse than what ails you in the first place. http://www.valdezlink.com/re/drugs/list.htm EGBE is C6 H14 O2

I think this fatigue is the hard to find anemia which is an autoimmune action on the red blood cells.  'The numbers' are generally in normal range, so doctors think you are OK. This anemia is VERY serious. Ask your doctor to have the lab tech LOOK at the red blood cells & tell him or her everything there is to know about them. Look up the symptoms for Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (
CFS or FM for short) & see if it isn't an assortment something like this: http://www.valdezlink.com/re/health/thinking/ptsd/whatis.htm

Why did I study this chemical?

Please take a look at the links I wrote on the two previous posts. I strongly believe the 'feeling so bad' is the autoimmune hemolytic anemia that is there, but not easily found unless doctors look at the same info in a different light: what harm to suspect from glycol ether. "The chills," rapid heart beat, shortness of breath are 3 of the basic 8 signs of AIHA or IMHA. Do you recall a serious flu or several 'smaller' flu symptoms? What were you doing differently right then? Do you have abnormal body temp?... blood sugar?... blood pressure?  #326

Can affect pets as well as children ... and everyone.  Life span depends on the amount of exposure per size ? http://www.valdezlink.com/re/pet/ourdog.htm#of

These three soldiers died in 2005 after FLU symptoms;  I suspect they died of acute autoimmune hemolytic anemia

Three Soldiers Die after 'flu' symptoms

Just because there are high white blood cell counts *  *  & a fever *

... doesn't mean it is an infection or a virus that is the cause of what ails you

HELP?

Look for the pattern of CFIDS symptoms.  Ask doctors what to do for autoimmune metabolic issues. Exposure looks like 'the flu' Some thoughts for help. Often there would be an anemia with it that is more life-threatening than the cancer: 'the chills,' shortness of breath & rapid heartbeat are some of the clues to AIHA. http://www.valdezlink.com/pages/autoimmune.htm#help

Comment:

Do you have a tired-all-the-time feeling like Dave? There is a Dave in city mentioned in Canada who is an airline safety inspector. I think that would cause various exposures to glycol ether as well as those we get 2nd hand from others AND in our own homes. http://www.valdezlink.com/re/paint/painterswithfatigue.htm

Yes, I think you are dealing with an autoimmune issue (many of them) HELP? http://www.valdezlink.com/pages/autoimmune.htm#help
... things like gamma globulin, Rituxin (if cancer shows up), and OPC-3 and glyconutrients may be helpful. Transfusion of whole blood if seizures are showing up because of the anemia (Lack of oxygen is a cause of seizures)

And

Just as babies who turn jaundiced are helped by getting sunlight/ Vit D ... I suspect that is why PLEVA seems helped in summer
Help! My 9 yr. old son was just at the derm. and had a biopsy done. Dr. said it maybe pleva or psorosis! I don't know how he got this? Is it an autoimmune disorder or what? Will it ever go away?
Yes, autoimmune disorder. Doctors don't know what is causing so many autoimmune issues. I suspect the flu symptoms are caused by exposure to glycol ether, especially glycol ether with butyl such as 2-butoxyethanol. Does your son recall a serious flu? ... or ongoing colds with diarrhea? This chemical is very strong in many cleaning products, in paint, in products that mechanics & carpenters use. You can be exposed 'second hand' by being near someone else who is poisoned. Gamma globulin has been found to help autoimmune issues. http://www.valdezlink.com/re/health/pleva.htm
