Considering Splenectomy?

What kind of doctor is he seeing?  A hematologist?

Maybe a second opinion is in order?

"The spleen is an organ involved in the production and maintenance of red blood cells, the production of certain circulating white blood cells, and is a part of the lymph system and the immune system."

Sounds like a pretty valuable organ, if you ask me .... not just disposing of no longer needed red blood cells

The fatigue of EGBE that does cause CFS, FM, CFIDS ... is autoimmune hemolytic anemia (This chemical could cause kidneys and liver and other organs ... testes, etc to swell or be enlarged)

and I would wonder whether he is getting more exposure to this chemical now?

Does he have 'the sniffles?'  diarrhea unrelated to what he ate?  ... what kind of work does he do now?

Has he had multiple bouts with 'the flu?'  (These are indication of exposure to 2-butoxyethanol aka Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether)

Not just a virus or cold?  *

Health Changes like CFIDS after flu *

THE Fatigue   AIHA of CFIDS is proof EGBE is the root cause  - Lots of Issues - January/08 summary

Examples of second hand solvent exposure to a complex alcohol

(Has someone new come around since this started up?)

Does he also have Memory Loss ?

First thing to do is to STOP the exposure'

He would probably have blood in urine, if he was having serious exposure to 2-butoxyethanol

Second thing may be to consider

Rituxan for AIHA?

This has helped people with autoimmune issues and with FATIGUE.  Check with the doctor who knows about it on the link

& other possible help (AFTER AVOIDING EGBE exposure):

"One of the most important discoveries in health and disease of the last 10 years or so, may be that the production of the sugars that the body requires to form glycoproteins (cellular messenger molecules) is quite ATP intensive, ADP intensive, vitamin/mineral dependant, and enzyme dependant."

Would Nutrition for Cells help?
