Thank you for your inquiry. We apologize for the delay in responding to your questions.

Regarding your first question on our CFR page, it is currently redirected to the GPO Access Web page. The most recent Code of Federal Regulations can be found at:

http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text/text-idx?sid=b321291a0d624270b7dd6acd0a083426&c=ecfr&tpl=/ecfrbrowse/Title40/40tab_02.tpl

In regards to your second question on 2-butoxyethanol, this chemical is an inert ingredient if used in a pesticide product. Inert ingredients are not listed on products due to confidentiality claims by pesticide registrants. If the products you are concerned about are not pesticides (i.e., do not claim to kill, prevent, or repel a pest), other rules may apply, but our program does not regulate such products.

You may also look up the chemical by its registry number (CAS#) : 111-76-2. I hope this information is helpful.

Thanks, I already know a lot about  2-butoxyethanol  *   http://www.valdezlink.com/inipol/mothermargaret.htm

2-butoxyethanol IS definitely Health Hazardous is*

Research - Detailed MSDS - Retic info for Doctors

Pesticides cause endocrine disruptionbroken EPA link

By some odd definition, glycol butyl ethers must be considered pesticides

EPA has studied Diethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether *

Among the 101 EPA tested pesticides - for endocrine disruption, these:

CAS

Chemical Name
112-34-5 Diethylene glycol monobutyl ether
111-76-2    Ethylene glycol monobutyl ether

What were the results?

2-butoxyethanol is not without research,

We are not without research on 2-butoxyethanol  -

The missing link - is for doctors to recognize it

Doctors should consider the harm of Glycol Ether Exposure when 'the numbers' look OK,

...  but there are FLU symptoms & FATIGUE

Exposure 'looks like' the sniffles ... congestion ... the flu

with multiple autoimmune issues resulting

Why does the USA think 2-Butoxy Ethanol is NOT Harmful?  *

Now I suspect the whole family of glycol ethers,

especially those with butyl, such as 2-butoxyethanol has

I thought 2-butoxyethanol was very health hazardous (raised to level #3 health hazard category in 2008)

Until I noticed that  propylene glycol t-butyl ether *  was in many cleaning products (undisclosed)

The question is asked, does CFS start up after swine flu? It asks people to 'listen to their body'

The topic heading is what interests me. YES, I think the cause of flu is not a virus, but exposure to glycol butyl ether or one of the glycol ethers. AND that CFIDS, CFS, FM are resultant end effects for those who do not die outright.

Look for the fatigue and the autoimmune nervous system signs of CFIDS after flu

Consider exposure to a glycol ether for cause of 'the flu'

I suspect it is the cause of 'gulf war syndrome'  *

label all areas where 2-butoxyethanol compounds are stored... with POISON cautions

2-butoxyethanol is a primary cancer causing - autoimmune causing chemical

(exposure looks like 'the flu')

... a teratogen, an organic solvent, a neurotoxin, a pesticide, a poison

(Symptoms look like CFIDS, CFS, FM)

In addition to the autoimmune issues, birth defects and cancers,

that glycol ethers cause,

you should consider them for strongly contributing to the rapid acceleration of global warming

When they break down, they break down into CO and CO2

and we are putting TONS of it into the atmosphere

Hazardous Decomposition Products of Glycol Ethers:

Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide Source

Will we have more of these 'in the air?'  *

There is a lot of this chemical expelled into the air, and when it breaks down,

it produces CO and CO2  *

Does FDR's cousin Daisy's Journal talk about a time when the 32nd President of the USA had 'flu-like' symptoms?

It is now suspected that Pres FDR didn't have polio, but
