| A few days ago, I was feeling fine just after finishing supper
(around 4 PM). Somewhere around 5 PM, I felt as if a fever was
coming on. Around 6 PM I began to chill and shiver a bit. Around 7
PM, I was beginning to shake uncontrollably, and my fever was 103
(+). My first thought was it must have been something in the food I
ate (even though my stomach and digestive system wasn’t bothering
me. I went to bed early and was still shaking around 10 PM. I got
up, took my temperature (104) and tried to take my BP. I have two
machines and both kept giving me an error message. I did take a
pulse reading (using a clock) and it came up around 156! Now I’m
getting concerned (pulse is normally in 60-70’s (and I take my bp
every day Immediately after returning home both bp monitors are reading very near the bp the technician quoted. Only both monitors are reading 120 plus pulse. Still I’m not going back, just to bring up this point. The next morning the fever is gone, bp was near normal, but the pulse is still exceptionally high (93). And, it pretty much stayed there ALL day (+/- 2-3 pts). Still, I manage to hit the links (since I had a previous commitment), at 08:30 (although I weak feel drained/weak all day). So the next nigh I ate/drank NOTHING that I did the night before. Still, around 3:30 pm (I hadn’t eaten anything yet), I began to chill, and shiver a little. Again, I went to bed early (feeling pretty damn puny Once again, on the morning of the third day (today), I woke up with a bp reading of 114/60, a pulse of 91 (still, around 20-25 beats more than normal. but better than 120 I truly believe that if I don’t figure this out (with your help, or not) NO one will. It’s been my experience, that doctors are lousy diagnosticians (if you can’t diagnose your own condition/problem), how can they possibly know what drug to prescribe (which is essentially ALL they do Emily from e-bay |
| All these symptoms you mention sound like
what a particular chemical does.... were you spraying any heavy duty
glass cleaner? ... or spray carpet cleaner? High or low body temp, blood pressure, blood sugar could be symptoms of autoimmune hypothalamus such as I suspect 2-butoxyethanol would cause ... eventually memory loss, headaches and other signs of CFIDS, FM, CFS The fatigue of CFIDS is not known; but the anemia of EGBE is Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia ... of which rapid heart beat, 'the chills' are a couple of the signs Some comments I made today on a gulf war vet forum Most interesting, also, is that fever would be a sign of this fatigue ... or subnormal body temp, depending on how long you have it; ALSO high white blood cells can be a fatigue clue (not always an infection or lymphoma) |
| Another comment: Don't usually post here,
but this jumped out at me, as I had something similar last year that
no doctor ever figured out. I had high fevers, especially spiking at
night (4-5pm on) a massively swollen gland in my neck (but no sore
throat or any other symptoms), and intermittent racing heart rate
for over 2 MONTHS. Also very low white count and very high
inflammatory marker tests (and slightly low red count on a few of
the blood tests). I was negative for every virus, bacterial
infection, autoimmune condition, etc that they could possibly test
for, had cat scans, the works, and they never ever figured out what
was wrong with me. They just kept saying it was some unknown viral
syndrome. Even after the fevers stopped and my blood counts got
better, I had terrible fatigue and muscle/joint pain for many
months.

| I should probably mention
that it might also have something to do with who is coming around
you. Second hand
solvent exposure You might realize how many odd symptoms there are that go with Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome. Look for the FATIGUE which shows up differently than doctors expect And especially look for abnormal blood sugar, blood pressure, body temp ... swollen glands and organs often go with Many health issues are autoimmune and becoming epidemic among the WWII Nations Strong exposure looks like what we call the flu Suspect not a virus, but exposure in some fashion to 2-butoxyethanol aka Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether |
