a cause of vomiting & a cause of brain tumors
My name is Shara Stewart and I am new to this group and I had a few questions. First I will let you know a little about why I joined. My 33 year old brother was diagnosed in august with a brainstem tumor which is an aa3. His 6 year old daughter and my niece Ainslee died in April after an 8 month battle with a gbm. He was diagnosed almost a year to the day of hers. Its been very hard dealing with her death and now his battle with a brain tumor. He did radiation and chemo and then his doctors told him his tumor was paralyzing his esophagus because my brother was having a hard time swallowing and so he decided to stop treatment and work with hospice. Since doing so his swallowing has gotten better so I'm confused if it was the tumor how is he able to swallow and eat now? The doctors will no longer work with him because he went on hospice and he was thinking of doing chemo again but they won't see him. Also he will throw up out of nowhere some days. He can go for days without throwing up and then out of nowhere like tonight he throws up. What could be causing this? His tumor was told to be inoperable and also he doesn't have insurance so really has had poor medical treatment. Does anyone know why he can suddenly swallow, why does he occasionally throw up and what kinda of treatment would he be doing if he was doing treatment??? I hope this is the group that can answer these questions if not could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks so much

Other clues:  He is quite well thanks,
Just terrible memory problems.
Julie

Julie, I know those memory problems can be quite difficult to live with.  Does Anthony have problems with time and place also?  Seamus had the short term memory loss as a result of his surgery and radiation in 1998 and was unable to work because of it although he was otherwise strong and healthy.   Sometimes it would take hours to find things that he had misplaced and he was sometimes very insistent that it was not he that had misplaced the items as he had absolutely no recollection.   With phone calls, he would remember if someone called but would not know if it was yesterday, today or some day last week that they called.  Once he finally admitted / realized he had the problem, things got a bit easier but it took years for him to reach that point" Eileen 11-24-08  (Her husband died the next day, but was it from the brain tumor OR the effects of EGBE?  Memory loss, 'the chills' ... rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath are clues that it was from Butyl poisoning)

What kind of work does he do?

Throwing up is sometimes (one of the flu symptoms) that indicates exposure to BUTYL or 2-butoxyethanol

It affects our military and our housewife alike,
And I strongly suspect it is the real culprit for causing brain tumors and a whole lot more http://groups.msn.com/brainTumors

I get the e-mails from the brain tumor group, but the moderator doesn't let me post, because their focus is not on what causes brain tumors.

Sorry for the loss of your niece,
and what you are dealing with with your brother

Not only for AO exposure,

but for the pesticide listed with the JP 4 & JP 5 that was used to dilute the mix:

Another Pesticide should be suspect for harm to 'gulf war vets'

Still today

Our Homes are often overexposed to this chemical ... so if you have health concerns, avoid BUTYL especially!  *
