Annette & Joseph Bronkhorst, Just a Reminder of Rental Policy so we do not have to call you and also so that there will be no misunderstanding about rent due and when due. How to make payment> Unless you make the deposit at the bank yourself into account #1610-113-1, you must mail it to me at PO Box 233, Valdez, AK 99686. We can't ask the bank to do the deposit for you as they are extremely busy now. Balance of May rent> This month only, we are accepting the remainder of $123 on May rent on May 28. If you wish, I am willing to pick this up, but you must call me as to when you will be available. Or you may make the direct bank deposit. Please ask for a duplicate receipt; and that the bank mail me a receipt. Please call me when this has been done, if you choose to pay as usual. Rent is due> Hereafter, per the terms of the lease, your share of rent is due on the first of each month. Currently in the amount of $273.00. (AHFC prorates to the first of the month) If not received by the 5th of the month the following notice will be posted on the apt door (see below) Your share of rent> must be paid or you are in jeopardy of losing the entire housing assistance privilege through AHFC. They expect that you will pay 30% of your income as your share of rent. If there are extenuating circumstances that that is not possible, you could ask them to review your situation.
Sample Notice: Notice of Termination of Tenancy for Nonpayment of Rent Date: TO: RE: Apt 4, 125 Foraker You are hereby notified that your share of rent in the amount of __________ is now past due. You have 7 days from the above date, or until _________ to pay the rent outstanding, or in the alternative to vacate the premises If you deliver your rent to me on or before the end of the 7 day period, you may stay and the tenancy will not be terminated.
