"Blood is the only fluid tissue in the body.
Blood transports oxygen and nutrients to body
tissues, and returns waste and carbon dioxide.
Blood distributes nearly everything that is
carried from one area in the body to another place
within the body. For instance, hormones are
transported from the endocrine organs to their
target organs. Blood
helps maintain body temperature and normal
pH levels in body tissues. The protective
functions of blood include clot formation and the
prevention of infection." |

Margaret,
I know what your getting at, you must have seen my
post on gulf vets. I was hoping for more response
but there wasn't much. I am not sure what is bring
on this shivering its like I am freezing but with
out the feeling of being cold. Strange huh?
I
already have checked my blood sugar levels during
the most recent episode but it was with in
reasonable limits. I hadn't been exposed to any
chemicals during the 24 hours prior to the episode, that I know of.
I hope I can get some sort of answers soon or at
least a starting point.

I
would suspect this is more an advanced stage of hemolytic
anemia ...
not an acute exposure.
Besides this comment from a gulf war vet with 'the
syndrome' there was a comment from a British group of such
... saying they have to wear sweaters in the middle of
warm summer weather due to 'the chills'

I
think it is a particular type of hemolytic anemia
Last month I visited a beauty shop to get my hair cut, and
the beautician next station over was complaining about
being so cold .....
Well, I asked her if she was tired a lot ... "Oh,
yes," she said, "I think maybe I need some
iron." I gave her some hand-out information and said
that it was VERY valuable. That it took me over 2 years to
put this together (probably because I went down so many
bunny trails), but to ask her doctor to look into some of
this probability: autoimmune hemolytic anemia.
The
'unsuspected' cause of fatigue
When you spend a LOT of TIME on something,
maybe you can become an 'expert' on any topic?
A friend shared, "No wonder this 'picture' is falling
into place for you!
It is the 'law of use' ... what you spend a lot of time
at, you get good at."

Unexplained FATIGUE after flu symptoms?
iF IT IS 'chemical' flu, you should share this with your
doctors;
I think you may be dealing with the flu doctors don't understand
The reason that chronic fatigue, (More accurately CFIDS) is so
perplexing is

'chemical' flu can start with loosening of the sinuses ... 'the
sniffles'
Blood is always at a pH
of 7.4;
exposure to anti-freeze
(similar to
ethylene glycol
monobutyl ether,
but not as bad)
raises the acidic level
of the blood.

If the body's cellular
metabolism and pH is
balanced it is
susceptible to little
illness or disease.
The
closer the pH is to 7.35
- 7.45, the higher our
level of health and well
being and our ability to
resist states of
disease.
