Why an Epidemic of Diabetes in Australia?   CFIDS, too?

They had soldiers in WWI, WWII, 'gulf war' too ...

How to research this?

I suspect the chemical exposure that causes diabetes, primarily, is 2-butoxyethanol;

Causes Chronic Fatigue, too  -  These symptoms

Diabetes health crisis in Australia:

"More than 100,000 Australians are diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes every year." *

So, how many Australians in the 'gulf war?'  How many in other wars?  WWII , etc?

Australia & New Zealand entered WWI in 1914

Influenced by Great Britain

In 1917 FDR goes to European front lines & gets as close as they will let him.

On return voyage, he comes down with a 'strange' influenza  -  PBS video

In January 1917, Hitler is cleared for full duty and asks to ... The Spanish Influenza sweeps through the front lines and rear areas ...

The 1918 Pandemic flu was in the news Oct 5, 2005 because Pres Bush mentioned having read Barry's book on the topic; so Barry is being interviewed on TV shows, etc.

Barry said that in that year the flu killed millions and that people turned blue from lack of oxygen very quickly; they were bleeding out of their eyes, mouth, ears, nose.

They were so black/blue that you couldn't tell what their race was.  Maybe that is an autoimmune reaction that kills off all the red blood cells ... not just rapidly starts destroying them.

Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup workers & 'Gulf war syndrome' Vets

the only chemical exposure (after oil) that they have in common

How many exposed to 2-butoxyethanol in 1995   when Australia manufactured & used Corexit to cleanup the oil spill?  What cleaning products are used in Australia?  What additives to gasoline & jet fuels?

Exposure to 2-butoyethanol is the most probable cause of diabetes & many autoimmune issues... it does cause reproductive harm ... so something going on with the genes is not unusual.

Consider glyconutrient food supplements for help

Much of what is called 'the flu' is this same chemical's poisoning:

Did you or someone in the family line have a SERIOUS Flu?

It can lead to many autoimmune metabolic issues

brain tumors, cancers, birth defects ,  diabetes, too

Regarding 'the Bird Flu' ...

Says an expert, "The 'bird flu' being discussed now is one in which the healthy immune system of the able bodied ... attacks the lungs..." goes autoimmune BIG time.  Maybe they just don't notice effects of 'the other' ... until the immune system is about worn out from over activity?  If you had diabetes or serious FATIGUE that no rest helps ... start up after 'flu-like' symptoms,  maybe you were overexposed to a chemical like 2-butoxyethanol.  Maybe you were poisoned.  What were you doing right then?

Scientists close to diabetes cure

June 11, 2006
VICTORIAN scientists have discovered a gene responsible for the most common form of diabetes, bringing them closer to a cure.

The discovery of the PSARL gene, linked to Type 2 diabetes, will be revealed at a conference in Washington tomorrow, the Sunday Herald Sun said.

More than 100,000 Australians are diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes every year.
The disease, which is recognized as an epidemic, is costing Australian taxpayers about $3 billion annually.

Diabetes is known as a lifestyle disease, commonly linked to a bad diet and a lack of exercise.

As to Diabetes ... I still contend ...

"The conventional approach to health in the U.S. has increasingly been to just attack symptoms."
