| hi, my brother was in jail for assaulting some one weeks back, he spent about 50 days in jail and was sentenced to 100 days in prison Friday, well when he got there Friday for processing they gave him the tb time test, well he called me Sunday and told me it was big as a quarter and it had never done that before. I tried to tell him not to panic. He said the doctor would check it tomorrow which is today and she did, it measured 13 mm she said and that it was not contagious and he could stay in the public with the other inmates, she said if it was under a 10 he would have the tb, and would be confined is that true? Any way he is very scared, she told him not to get mad and start throwing things because he is scared, out all the tb test he has taken it has never been positive, he called me today and told me the news that he had been exposed to some one in jail with it and he remembered who, it was lady in the kitchen one of the cooks he said she had spent several days out of work and had been coughing and sneezing when he worked with her and she kept saying she had a terrible cold. See when he was in jail they let him work in the kitchen for time off and good behavior. He was a trustee in there. What i need to know what will happen to him now he said they will give him a chest x-ray to see if he has tb, and he would have to take meds. for 6 mos. and he will have to check with the health department every month when he gets out. Why would he have to do that? He can never move to another state or country? Does this mean he has tb? You can get cured right? Will he be alright? Is it a lot of meds you have to take? I hope he does not have tb, but the test came back positive and was a 13, i hope you can help and send him some encouraging words he is scared to death, thank you so much God bless. You can also email me at angeldavid@bellsouth.net Thank you so much and he thanks you too!! | |

do not be concerned!
tuberculosis is easily
treated.
just take the medication
for the full length of time.
i know several girls that
caught it from their lovers.
one of them caught it from
a girl in ireland.
the others caught it from
boys
that had been born outside
the united states
and were attending school
here.
they took the medication
for months and months.
all of them are fine, now.
they are not contagious.
a couple of them were told
that it was safe
for them to nurse and kiss
their infants.
stop worrying.
follow the directions.

| These things don't make
sense ... if the reaction was a larger one than needed, why is that
excluded from confirming TB?
Also, there are more germs & probably TB too ... that are becoming resistant to medications. So never say never. Personally I would be concerned that the cook may be getting some harm from cleaning products in the kitchen ... or elsewhere. What happened at the time the horrible 'cold' started? That's one of the signs of too much of some kind of chemical. And the way someone might react to exposure to 2-butoxyethanol. He would be doing the cook a big favor, if he shared this info with her
You have to be tested for TB to work in
a public place; especially the kitchen.
Personally, I wonder whether or not she
has been harmed by 2-butoxyethanol and your brother too. This
chemical is never suspected for anything, best I can tell; and it's
the cause of a whole lot of things. It can cause someone to
assault someone, too. Has your brother had a change in
personality? What kind of work has he done? He's not a
painter or mechanic, is he?
