What is Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP)?

As long as we think the flu is a virus problem, instead of a particular chemical exposure that leaves the virus/bacteria unchecked ... that we are dealing with an autoimmune issue primarily ... we are way off track

I'm saying that we are a world of specialists ... and this chemical is very much affecting our generation as much as prior generations of this century & beyond. I am saying it is important to look at the BIG PICTURE.

Did you know that Pres FDR did not have polio? They have looked at this issue and determined that it is not polio, but Guillain-Barre syndrome? (An autoimmune action on the Nervous system that causes paralysis)

and ... often we notice similar, chronic issues of this type:
Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) is a neurological disorder characterized by progressive weakness and impaired sensory function in the legs and arms. The disorder, which is sometimes called chronic relapsing polyneuropathy, is caused by damage to the myelin sheath (the fatty covering that wraps around and protects nerve fibers) of the peripheral nerves. Although it can occur at any age and in both genders, CIDP is more common in young adults, and in men more so than women. It often presents with symptoms that include tingling or numbness (beginning in the toes and fingers), weakness of the arms and legs, loss of deep tendon reflexes (areflexia), fatigue, and abnormal sensations. CIDP is closely related to Guillain-Barre syndrome and it is considered the chronic counterpart of that acute disease.

This reminds me of what those with 'gulf war syndrome' and CFIDS talk about

I hope we start to look at FLU in a new way: A chemical poisoning ... not a virus.
This is my comment to Angie when she shared what happened to her son after the 'flu' last March

Quote:
Yes, I do remember clearly what was going on with my son when he got the horrible case of the Influenza A it was last March. He was having a horrible time with his asthma and he all this sudden started getting better. He was in school the day before and I picked him up early and took him to the doctor for a check up and after we got out of there I thought that is weird Kyle kept saying he was cold. I got him home and he slept like a nap as usual for 2 hours. When he woke up he had a 104 fever. He didn't eat anything. The next morning I decided he had to back to the doctor. The fever was not coming down with all I tried. When I got him in there they hospitalized him due to him not being able to lift his head and he was really stiff. So when we got him to the hospital he ( he was almost 4 at this time) was very sick. They almost put him in PICU. They did all this testing and saw nothing, but Influenza A. And he had blisters all over his right ear. 24 hours later the fever was gone but my son could not walk, sit, even roll over, he had troubles speaking (he already has a speech delay but it was much worse) and drooling terrible. I fought with the doctors to do an MRI. They refused. They did 2 CAT Scans. Which showed nothing. So after 3 days of this I was trying to get him on his feet and he had no balance. I at that time wanted my son out of there so I could drive to Detroit and have his neurologist see this. So about 2 weeks later when I was able to get him in to the neurologist he freaked and said he needed an MRI immediately. That is when we got the results that he has some form of Leukodystrophy because the White Matter change had double'd in size. He is to young for MS. Now here in August he has significant damage done from all of that he walks to left now, the left side of his face shows it, he need help with eating. and is having a harder time than usual coming back with his speech. Now what was going on at that time? well we were remodeling cause we had a severe problem with mold, and my kids are constantly exposed to new people. So I am not sure about that. Thinking that was the cause of all of his problems. Now I am just not sure what to think.

Anyways I am going to look that up cause it would put a lot of sense to our family but it had to of had to do something to both my husband and I.

Thank you Angie

Angie, what was going on when your son came down with the 'flu?'

Pres FDR had the chills, horrible headache ... at the end of his life.

... as he went to bed he was 'shivering' (chills?)

They have also determined that it was not polio that Pres FDR had in 1921, but an autoimmune dysfunction: Guillain-Barre syndrome.

I would suspect that was an effect of the exposure to bomb fumes in WWI. When he was Assist Sect of the US Navy he got as close to the front lines as they would let him. On the return Voyage (1917 or 1918?) he came down with a strange influenza. I would like to know more about this. I suspect it was part of the Spanish Flu - virus a side effect of a chemical poisoning. I think that is really what Bird Flu is today

She asked me a question on a leukodystrophy forum I started
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/leukodystrophies/message/14

... but I also posted it on an Autism forum I belong to

... & posted on this MSN diabetes discussion forum I moderate

As you know, I suspect many ailments are subsequent to this chemical's poisoning.

Today I spoke with someone who came down with shortness of breath, pain in chest ... signs of heart attack things .... very high blood pressure maybe acid reflux ... and doctors did all kinds of tests ... nothing showed up. I asked her what she was doing differently. She had been 'manning a fair booth' I wonder whether someone strong exposed started hanging out there, and she got exposed second hand

I called her on another matter just moments after she was praying with a friend about this. I believe what I shared (by e-mail) ... and have been sharing ... is part of the answer & I asked her to share it with her doctor/s
It causes hemolytic anemia from the info on the Material Safety Data Sheet
(Autoimmune?)

 C6H14O2/CH3(CH2)2CH2OCH2CH2OH

Sometimes 'the flu' is 2-butoxyethanol poisoning
or similar chemical in 'bomb fumes in one's eyes,

And how many American soldiers have died in Wars? How many were health damaged & given 'no space' for flying off the handle at the drop of a hat? ... for having the 'health syndrome' such as CFIDS.

Although it didn't have a name until 1989 ... I suspect CFIDS has been very prevalent during war time ... and most especially in WWI and WWII.

Many really weird birth defects are showing up in recent decades... some just getting 'found' in the 80s and 90s

Assess the Collateral Health Damage before going to WAR - ever

We lost 148 soldiers in '91 Gulf war ...+ 195,000 of 'the syndrome'
We lost 58,148 in Vietnam war ....  + how many of 'the syndrome?'
We lost 54,246 in Korean war ...... + how many of 'the syndrome?'
We lost 405,399 in WWII ............ + how many of 'the syndrome?'
We lost 116,516 in WWI ..........    + how many of 'the syndrome?'
We lost 863,153 in Civil war ........ + how many of 'the syndrome?'

I first looked at the New Jersey Hazard sheet ... very concise and easy to understand .... this chemical targets the Testes ... so no wonder there is so many more males affected than females on many ailments ... and X chormosomal abnormalities

The next one that was very helpful was the one out of the UK

And the chemical companies do not even have to name the product .... as long as they give the warnings ... so "defats the skin" Don't get in your eyes ... Hmm

Reason the USA can't find the real cause of 'gulf war syndrome' is because the USA has been hoodwinked by the chemical companies

Some soldiers get exposed to way too much of the n-butyl ethers and they have no hope of escaping it. Doing the same job over and over and over .... such as even Staff Sgt James Alford of TX
