DIABETES - Not the harm you think
Had I never looked into the harm of 2-butoxyethanol, I would have had the same view as everyone else ... but I strongly believe THIS is the chemical that causes diabetes ... direct exposure ... or as a late to show up birth defect ... (for me in my 50's) My dad was in WWII ... & I suspect (by the pattern of his health issues ... ) that he was poisoned by getting bomb fumes in his eyes.

What we attribute to diabetes ... and therefore focus on getting blood sugar down ... is really one of many side effects of 2-butoxyethanol poisoning. It is not the high blood sugar that is the culprit ... it is the chemical that causes the out of range blood sugar (Out of range any hormone ... it is an endocrine disruptor) I suspect before the blood sugar, there is an autoimmune hypothalamus .. and after that, autoimmune red blood cells (approaching hemolytic anemia) This is the fatigue doctors are looking for in CFIDS, CFS, FM

I chose not to take glucophage for my diabetes after doing so for 6 weeks. Nope, not me ... It is the exposure to 2-butoxyethanol in the family line that causes wounds not to heal; eye problems; kidney and liver failure. I chose not to mess around with inhibiting my liver from processing the share of nutrition it would turn into sugars ... as some day, the effects of 2-butoxyethanol exposure could target my liver.

PS ... I have noticed that gallstones occur in this group early on;
many years later, kidney stones ... as would relate to a thyroid imbalance.

I shared some thoughts with a Cushings group (any hormone can go high or low, and be part of the pattern of 2-butoxyethanol poisoning ... AKA Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether.) You probably use it in things you clean with ... it is in paint ... many product that mechanics and carpenters use... in gun cleaners ... even in jet fuel? AND you can get exposed second hand. Ever have flu-like symptoms or diarrhea & eyes burning & hurting? Probably a second hand exposure episode like I have had ... and President Eisenhower, too
