...Just Ordinary chemicals like in Household Cleaning Stuff, eh?

After all the comments folks have given

that say the ingredients of Inipol EAP 22 were no more hazardous

than ordinary household products...

and then they won't give the ingredients!

Says an expert in business use of chemicals:  *

"We do indeed use some really toxic stuff in the house & no MSDS unless you have at least 2 employees.

You can kill yourself, but not an employee."  Nobody Knows-music

Is this why household cleaning products are exempt from disclosure? *  large pdf file

Shouldn't be.  Rats are not as akin to humans as mice...

and neither catch the damage to the central nervous system that affects humans per Parkinson's testing

Guess they don't want to admit to putting something classified as a poison

in the cleaning products, maybe... or the profits too great to give all the ingredients?

Is the 10%  Surfactant in Spray 'n Wash . . .  2-butoxyethanol?

Sure cuts the grease!

*

What's in Lysol Tub 'n Tile?

per MSDS it has a component which is diethylene glycol monobutyl ether  *

MSDS  *

Is it saying that 100% of the compound is this chemical?

CAS # 112-34-5

Diethylene glycol monobutyl ether is not the same, but a related compound to butoxyethanol.

Of course the concern of adverse health effects should be similar.

Lysol Tub 'n Tile is one of the products an industrious housewife uses on a regular basis... She cleans her house and usually someone else's too over these past 40 years.  She's now in her 60's and finds she has a serious red blood cell anemia to go along with nephritis (kidney disease).  Has she been exposed often enough ... small amounts of exposure to chemicals ... that she is at risk for the same kind of health damage workers were... in their short 1 month of continuous exposure?

What kind of kidney damage does 2-butoxyethanol cause, anyway?

Does anyone know what's in Dawn?

 They're not saying   *

... I bet it's more than just a proprietary reason, too

It is relevant... because workers spent a lot of time washing the birds and sea otters with Dawn...

& if we can learn something about that, too

... may help us learn something for 'next time' around.

That's what is so sad...

Did we really learn anything from what was  good... what was bad...

from the cleanup efforts of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill cleanup?  *

... just learned that Exxon can do whatever it wants to  *

If your dad worked in spray painting cars, in dry cleaning with chemicals, in plastic melting... or with Inipol EAP 22 or Corexit during the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill cleanup, learn to avoid chemicals:  don't drink, don't get a permanent, don't drink diet pop, eat foods with MSG... etc  *

You are more likely to develop leukemia and brain tumor than others ... according to research of the World Health Organization  *
