What
was used to spray down vehicles to
'decontaminate' them?
... something like a
spray painting apparatus system
Even
Affecting Dept
of Defense Civilians in Iraq
and at home.

One
of these is American made,
the
other made in Saudi Arabia
The
flies just barely touch this stuff
and
they are immediately dead. *
This
was set around on the dash board of
vehicles
and
where troops sleep.
"Goodness,"
said Chad,
"When
the wind blew, maybe were were eating
it?!"
What
were the crystals that killed the flies?

Maybe
the old-fashioned way would have been
better?
2-butoxyethanol
and
diethylene glycol
monobutyl ether
Are
listed right along with DEET
as pesticides US troops were
exposed to in this book:
The
National Academy of
Sciences, "Gulf
War and Health" Vol
2,
2003
page
612
on Insecticides and Solvents
pdf
mentions
these 2
chemicals as
being used at that time:
Now,
that is the KNOWN source
somewhere ... so what about
the degreasers and cleaners
that those may
not even be disclosed?
2-butoxyethanol
and diethylene glycol
monobutyl ether
give
the 'GWS' symptoms and
it is undeniably known to be
a pesticide/poison which
Troops WERE exposed to.
Studies
on GW vets suggest a type of
insecticide called ORGANOPHOSPHATES
The
symptoms they found with
vets in trials look more
like the symptoms of
2-butoxyethanol poisoning,
which, by the way, is NOT an
organophosphate. It
does not have phosphorus in
its chemical formula.
The
study passes over depression
and eye damage
which
must not fit the 'mold' of
what organophosphates do.
These
are primary causes of harm
with 2-butoxyethanol and add
to that suicidal tendencies,
too
Organophosphate
pesticides can be harmful,
but not pure phosphates, so
as with everything else -
read the MSDS before
launching into hysteria. -

More
info: The
HRA and the RAND survey
indicate that some service
members may have been
overexposed to pesticides as
stated in this report http://www.gulflink.osd.mil/pest_final/pest_final_s02.htm#IIA
My question to Special.Assistant@deploymenthealth.osd.mil
"What are the carbonate
pesticides? What disclosed
ingredients did they have?
Were any stated as
proprietary and therefore
undisclosed? If so, what
were the warnings for use on
the product?" - Margaret

The
Tribune posted this article - the
Community Chad Pagel lives in is hosting a fund raiser on
Oct 25, 2003: a portion of which follows,
"Unfortunately,
Chad’s health continues to worsen from these
chronic illnesses. He has been unable to work since early May 2003.
He has applied to the Veterans Administration
for disability benefits, but this is a long process,
and he is still undergoing tests to determine his
eligibility."
"As
members of our community,
we need to help those who
put their life on the line,
by serving in the US
Military.
Protecting
and providing freedom for people
they don’t know,
for causes they might not understand,
but simply
because they’re an American Soldier."
